Ä°rem Naz Kaya

Research Assistant

Naz is a researcher working with critical and interdisciplinary modes of spatial and urban studies. She has received MSc from Istanbul Technical University (ITU) with her thesis titled; Anastylosis as an Urban Metaphor: Rereading Istanbul with Ruminative Exposures. She holds a bachelor's degree in interior design (2017) and a double major degree in architecture (2018) from ITU. During her undergraduate studies, she spent the 2015-2016 academic year fall semester at Auburn University Alabama in the USA with an exchange scholarship program. In addition to her academic studies, she has worked on interior design projects in various subjects and scales in an architecture office for one and a half years after her graduation. Since January 2020, she has been working as a research assistant in the Interior Architecture Department of MEF University. Her research interests mainly focus on urban history&theory&representations and design research&pedagogy.
