PAYDOS

This project was designed in the open area at the entrance of MEF University, replacing the 'Shift' project, which was also a DBS outcome in previous years. The seating unit named PAYDOS, measuring approximately 1.5 meters in width and 8.5 meters in length, was produced collectively using entirely wooden materials. The project aims to provide maximum seating and relaxation space for students in the given open space, which is the entrance area of the university. Designed in a sheltered area where all students love to spend time between classes, before, or after lessons, this seating unit has already become a favorite spot for users, leaning against a green wall and showcasing its simplicity. Students use the lower parts of the design as a sitting area, while the higher surfaces are used as a surface where they can place their belongings or their coffee while chatting. The project takes its name from the word PAYDOS, which means to take a temporary break.
